On World Pet Memorial Day, we partnered with Home At Last Dog Rescue to raise awareness for the thousands of unadopted dogs put down by Canadian shelters each year. We tied “invisible dogs” to poles, hydrants, and railings all around the city using custom leashes that retained their stiffness. The invisible dogs all had a collar that read, “Last year, Canadian shelters put down 4,358 unadopted dogs”. Following the stunt, Home At Last Dog Rescue had a flood of foster doggy-parents sign up and now have more homes than they have dogs for rescue.
